Our project experience with commercial retail building design and renovation has brought us many challenging structural engineering problems in need of timely solutions. Many of the proposed building modifications involved structural repair due to damage and/or neglect by owners and tenants. When such damages are discovered during our investigation phase, the replacement and strengthening of the damaged structural components necessarily precedes design of the proposed building modifications.
